The Monastery of La Magdalena is a historic gem dating back to the early 13th century. Today, it is under the care of the Order of Mercy, but its legacy is much older. Initially, it housed the religious order of the Laudantes Deum, later known as the Order of Penance of the Martyrs of Christ, which was incorporated into the Augustinian order in 1568.
