Úbeda y Baeza

Úbeda and Baeza, located in the province of Jaén, are two cities declared World Heritage Sites for their impressive Renaissance legacy. Úbeda stands out for its monumental architecture promoted in the 16th century, with the Sacred Chapel of the Savior, the Palace of Vázquez de Molina and the Hospital de Santiago as main attractions. It is also famous for its ceramics and its gastronomy based on olive oil. Baeza, smaller and quieter, was an important cultural and university center, with the Cathedral of Baeza, the Palace of Jabalquinto and the Old University, where Antonio Machado taught. Its cobblestone streets and squares offer a charming and evocative atmosphere. Both cities are ideal for those who enjoy history, art and culture in an environment surrounded by olive groves.
