Monumento natural del Roque Nublo

The Roque Nublo Natural Monument, better known simply as Roque Nublo, is one of the most emblematic natural spaces on the island of Gran Canaria.

The island of Gran Canaria was formed in three eruptive cycles and specifically the Roque Nublo was formed during the second eruptive cycle.

It is located within the Nublo rural park and is located in the geographical center of the island, on land in the municipality of Tejeda, in a very steep area.

Alongside the Roque Nublo there are other unique rock formations, such as the so-called Roque del Fraile and La Rana.

Of volcanic origin, the rock rises approximately 80 meters above its base and 1813 meters above sea level. In ancient times it was used as an aboriginal place of worship.

The Roque Nublo is the third altitude of the island of Gran Canaria, after the Morro de la Agujereada with 1956 meters, and the Pico de las Nieves with 1949 meters.

There is a path with an attractive walk that takes you to the base of Roque Nublo in approximately 40 minutes.

The Roque Nublo is the symbol par excellence of the island of Gran Canaria.
