Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil

The Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB) is a network of cultural spaces managed and financed by Banco do Brasil, with the purpose of promoting culture among the population. It currently has venues in four Brazilian capitals: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Brasília.

Inaugurated, the Belo Horizonte center, was iaugurated on August 27, 2013, this unit is located in a building that was restored and adapted since 2009. Originally, the building, built in 1930, housed the Secretariat of the Interior of the State of Minas Gerais. The cultural center has a theater, exhibition halls, cafeteria and various facilities, with a total area of 12 thousand square meters.

In Brasília, it was opened on October 12, 2000, and is located in the Tancredo Neves Building, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer for the Banco do Brasil Education.

The Rio de Janeiro center was the first, inaugurated on October 12, 1989 in a historic building of 17,000 m², built in 1906. This center has exhibition halls, theater, cinema, library, and more. In 2013, it stood out as the most visited museum in Brazil, with more than 2 million annual visitors.

The one in São Paulo was opened on April 21, 2001, it is located in a historic building built in 1901 and acquired by Banco do Brasil in 1923. After being restored, it became a cultural space with exhibition halls, theater, cinema, and cafeteria.

Each of these centers reflects a commitment to cultural preservation and public access to various forms of art and entertainment.
