Museum of Aromas

The Aroma Museum is located in a beautiful village, Santa Cruz de la Salceda, in the south of the province of Burgos. An admirable destination in the Ribera del Duero, surrounded by vineyards and meadows.

It is the first and only museum in Spain and Europe about aromas in general and smell, the great unknown of our senses. It is a centre that unites a recreational part, of enjoyment in the recognition and analysis of different aromas and another, didactic part related to the research on the sense of smell, so forgotten nowadays and so important for human beings. In the "Museum of Aromas" there are the aromas of memory, the aromas that heal, those that make you sick, the aromas of danger, the aromas of wine, citrus aromas, aromatherapy, perfumes, the aromas of coffee, oil... and so on up to a collection of 92 aromas to enjoy, remember and learn.

The Museum is a fantastic destination for all kinds of people, as it can boast of its accessibility for all kinds of physical condition. Thanks to an initial collaboration with the ONCE Foundation, all the signs in the Aroma Museum are translated into Braille.

A unique, surprising, attractive and original museum. A project for the future that combines culture with research.
